Annual scholarship drawing will be held on May 14, 2010, at the May conference during National Police Week. NCLEES distributes 4 $500 scholarships (by lottery drawing)for High School Seniors or a full time student presently attending College and planning to continue to attend college on a full time basis for the 2010-2011 school year.

The NYC Saint Patrick's Day Parade offers several high school and college scholarships that are available for NYCD members in good standing because of our affiliation to the Parade.

2010 President William J. Kennedy College Scholarship
Applications will be accepted from dependent children of an active or retired member as defined in the By-Laws of the NYCD Emerald Society, Inc. The applicant must be enrolled within one (1) year from the date of the application in an accredited institution of academic education. Award recipient(s) will be selected based on a lottery drawing conducted by the Scholarship Committee. Applications must be received by the Committee prior to JUNE 1, 2010.
Winners will be announced at the 2010 Christmas Party/Old Timers Reunion
